Meet ‘Team Harry Dabbs’.

We are proud to support a number of talented professional and amateur riders that recognise the comfort and performance provided by their Harry Dabbs saddles.

Daniel Kinson

Show rider and producer
Daniel Kinson is a professional show rider who mainly competes with coloured horses and ponies from his yard at Great Eaves Farm in Staffordshire.

Daniel and his team also breed a variety of coloured types and break/ school youngsters in readiness for their future careers. Daniel has also completed a British Dressage apprenticeship and worked as a groom for Lee Pearson at the London Paralympics and Be-jing before deciding to set up his own yard.

Daniel has had great success in the show ring winning The Coloured Champion at The Royal Welsh in 2016 . He has also qualified and competed at HOYS/RIHS many times and finished 3rd in 2017 on his rising star ‘Off Shot’.

Luke Baber-Davis

International dressage rider
Luke is currently competing at an advanced level with fantastic prospects for the future riding at Grand Prix and already has some success stories under his belt. Luke is now training with Sune Hansen and previous to that Anne Van Olst, 5 times Olympic rider in Holland, Fiona Bigwood, Emile Faurie and Sarah Millis.

Luke has also ridden for some well known exclusive studs such as Van Olst Horses in Holland, Ormonde Hall, Quainton & Décor Stud. He is extremely passionate, caring, enthusiastic and his knowledge, understanding and ability to succeed in this industry are second to none.

Lisa Garland

Lisa Garland is an advanced Dressage rider and trainer from the Staffs/Derby boarders.

Lisa had her first Harry Dabbs Saddle in 2009 for her horse Assention and soon after won the area Festival at Advanced Medium before becoming a brand am- bassador. Lisa has had much success with her home produced horses at regional and national level and regularly competes at Premier Leagues, Regional and National Championships.

Lisa currently has two horses at small tour level and both are training towards Grand Prix. Lisa believes that Harry Dabbs saddles and a good saddle fitter (the late Janet Wilkes) have become a very important part in helping to build a strong relationship with her horses, so much so that Lisa is currently training to become a saddle fitter!

Michael Murphy

Para Dressage rider (grade 1a)
Michael was born with Dejerine-Sottas a rare and progressive disorder that causes muscle weakness, lack of motor control, loss of sensation and no saving reactions.

To help with his mobility Michael took up riding and quickly progressed to competing in Para dressage competitions including representing Great Britain. He now has his sights set firmly on competing at the Paralympics.

Michael’s achievements:

  • Young Disabled Sports Performer of The year for Barnet
  • Lloyds TSB Local Hero for past 3 years nominated to carry the Torch for London 2012 Olympics
  • Torch Bearer on 25th July for London 2012 Olympics (Between Harrow and Harringey)
  • Junior International Grade 1a Champion, riding for Great Britain at Millfield x4yrs
  • Junior International Grade 1a Champion, riding for Great Britain at Moorsele, Belgium 2010
  • British Dressage KBIS Grade1a National Champion 2010
  • Youngest in the world to win 3* Senior International Para Dressage Competition.
  • British Dressage Para Grade 1a/1b Winter Champion 2014
  • Qualified for BD Winter Open Championships 2015 Grade 1a fin- ishing 2nd. Aura’s first ever Championships
  • Qualified for Hickstead 2015 Open Championships finishing 5th. Hartpury 3* International Team: 6th Individual 5th: Freestyle 3rd!
After a break in competing due to the loss of his horse (Aura) and per- sonal circumstances Michael is now back in the saddle and looking forward to competing with his new ride Rohan—Roo to his friends!

Josh Hill

Josh Hill is a Dressage rider based at his home yard in East Grinstead

Josh currently trains with Emile Faurie and also has had huge support from List 1 judges Maryanne Horn and Leanne Wall. Josh gained huge experience as Senior Rider for International dressage rider Sarah Millis. He successfully trains and competes both his own and client’s horses. Out of these he successfully qualified 4 horses for the British Dressage Winter Nationals 2017 and 2018.

Josh was recently named in Horse and Hound as one of the under 25 dressage riders to watch. Josh has won 3 Regional titles and 3 Reserve National Titles.

Linda Cowperthwaite

Endurance rider
Team H endurance is a family amateur team that consists of approx. 4-6 horses. We produce usually from backing and take as high as level of endurance as possible. This is hugely time consuming and the commitment of many years to achieve FEI level but equally very rewarding.

I have been an endurance rider for 30 yrs and lucky enough to compete in UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Italy, France & Qatar. Been part of the Senior GBR team, National Champion and numerous times Regional Champion and many other awards & race wins.

Currently we have 6 horses and 4 in training that will compete this season at team H endurance stables

Maraday Mystaron (Ron) 16yr 16 hands Anglo Arab. this will be his 10th competitive season, Summer Breeze (Breeze) 8 yr. 15 hands Pure Bred Arab mare. BHA Sultan (Freddie) 9yr 15.1 hands Pure Bred Arab Gelding Krakatau (Kracker) 8yr 15.2hands Pure Bred Arab Gelding

2016 achievements New Novice to the stables Summer Breeze. Who finished 5th Nationally and winner at regional level. Plus winner of the Novice by a premium Stallion. Maraday Mysaron was placed 2nd Awarded to the horse and rider combination gaining the most points in FEI classes run under the auspices of Endurance GB Maraday Mystaron continued with the international races. Kings Forest CEI * 80km 4th Seacliffe CEI ** 120km 5th Keysoe CEI** 120km 3rd and highest placed British in a big international field.

Maraday Maystaron was Regional Champion (Lancashire)

2017. 3 horses step up to next level. Summer Breeze, Egyptian Whirlwind ( Bobby), BHS Sultan ( Feed) all stepped up to Race riding. Both Bobby & Breeze achieved there CEI * level and Freddie not quite ready for International but had been equally successful at National level up to 100km and finished on the bridle.

Maraday Mystaron Kings Forest CEI *80km 4th Belvoir CEI * 80km 16th & highest placed British rider.

Daniel Watson

Specialist in training horses for Dressage. Daniel is currently competing for Great Britain and travels internationally to compete.

He has represented GB in seven Nations Cup Teams and has been reserve for the World Equestrian Games in 2014. Daniel record as a producer and competitor speaks for itself. He is often seen competing in the Grand Prix Arena against the world’s best or riding a novice horse at a local show. Daniel has a hands on approach and enjoys every as- pect of the sport.

Daniel also enjoys teaching new horses and clients to achieve their goals and has a vast amount of equine knowledge within the industry.
